Let me guide you through the world of colors and images!
A picture is worth a thousand words. Therefore, an image can arise where still no words could develop. As an art-therapist I accompany people, who want to learn more about colors, painting and especially about themselves. By painting images, the patient meets with current topics in appearance and ofcourse they can be edited. The imagery helps us to make even the hidden visible. The colors and symbols serve as a guide for our life. I've been training Process-oriented therapeutic painting since 2009 at the school "Magenta" in the method of process-oriented therapeutic painting for art and painting therapist. The process-oriented painting is a self-therapy. The method is based on the classical theory of color and working with images, symbols and color test. PTM stimulates creativity and supports the painting people in different life situations. Effective is doing the work with the painting people directly on the image or object. For consultative and therapeutic professions PTM is another fascinating area of use for the site identification and diagnostic assessment. The method comprises five levels:
- the classical theory of color: the effect of the colors as an expression of life (according to Goethe, Newton, Itten).
- the finding survey on color tests: Use the body language, the Maltempo and the style of painting, the resistances of painting people are shown.
- body image: Body image clearly demonstrates where the person currently is in his life and the way he handled his life. The pictorial process is intentionally limited to painting a mostly life-size body image regardless of specific requirements.
- the process work on images and the symbolic language: The approach to the imagery via the intuition and a conversation with the painting people. The imagery is like a signature or a voice that shows the mental state of a person on the most direct route.
Backgroun:d We are daily inundated with sensory impressions and asked from a huge selection of different ways to constantly make new choices. Our time is characterized by fast pace and leaves us little moments to ourselves. Wherever we look, a rapid change is taking place. Profit maximization is sought as the main objective. For the individual, this means translated: It never satisfied with what she / he does, or it is simply called: not reached, had it! What we can observe in the outside, is ultimately shows as an internal "reform", in which the old man has been served and the New is not there. We are given stopped to question old ways of thinking, ultimately ourselves to constantly question, so that we can succeed to define new ways of life with new values that strengthen us and encourage us in the self-responsibility.
